That same night we started driving into a storm but the storm never hit us, there was just a huge dark cloud in front of us with tons of lightening dancing in it! It was amazing! like nothing I had ever seen! I wish I could explain it! I started looking around when we were at a stop light and saying "IS ANYONE SEEING THIS?" no one cared....they were all on their phones :( The best part is the lightening was striking to the beat of our David Archuleta MoTab CD. It was so so cool!!!
I have learned to see the Lord in every aspect of the world, and I can feel the spirit just looking at something I know He created for ME, for US! I have become obsessed with nature, and I just want to explore! The Lord created this world for us, so we better enjoy it!
On my mission I have learned to let go and just be more free, some people may find that shocking. But its a promise we receive from the Lord as we are baptized and make and keep sacred covenants. (Mosiah 5:8)
7 And now, because of the covenant which ye have made ye shall be called the children of Christ, his sons, and his daughters; for behold, this day he hath spiritually begotten you; for ye say that your hearts are changed through faith on his name; therefore, ye are born of him and have become his sons and his daughters.
8 And under this head ye are made free, and there is no other head whereby ye can be made free. There is no other name given whereby salvation cometh; therefore, I would that ye should take upon you the name of Christ, all you that have entered into the covenant with God that ye should be obedient unto the end of your lives.
also this week:
We met with a referral from the Creole elders! Her name is Elisa and she is awesome! She has 4 boys 7-2months...crazy. Anyways we did our first lesson, and introduced the Book of Mormon. When I pulled it out her face lit up, I explained what it was, and she told us that she knew some Mormons from her country (Honduras) and she always saw how happy they were and that she always wanted what they had! She was so happy to find out who we were and who we represent!
One of our investigators Reynaldo is progressing so well! Even though he set himself with a date for August 31st....he feels so content, he just doesn't realize he is ready to be baptized NOW! It doesn't matter what we say. haha I wish you could see his face at church though! He loves it! He hasn't missed a week in 3 Sundays! And he started reading the Book of Mormon from the beginning all on his own! Its amazing to see the light in peoples eyes change, and to feel their excitement for the gospel!
Hope on, Journey on.
