BIG things are happening here....okay only one big thing. And honestly it probably wont sound like a big deal to you guys.....k I will stop down playing the news. We got a new zone in our mission! They took the most southern zone from the Tampa mission and they added it to ours! Our mission is officially all of Southern Florida. We are excited about it!

We had a cool miracle this week. In the beginning of the transfer we prayed with a lady named Gigi. Then we could never get in contact with her again. One night around 8:00 we were left with nothing to do. We had already visited our back-ups for our back-ups with no luck! So Sister Alcazar said what about Gigi. We both laughed about the idea but we went anyway. She was home! and she was excited to talk with us! We taught her a lesson and she told us all about how she needs church right now. Then She saw The Book of Mormon in my bag and she asked me what it was. So we taught her about The Book of Mormon and she was excited to read it! She then asked us how we had become Mormon and really showed interest in being baptized! It also turns out that she had been to church before in Venezuela! She came to church on Sunday and loved it!

Our other investigators are progressing well! Minus that whole smoking thing.....everyone here smokes so much. We come home smelling like smoke almost every night.

This week I made a list of 5 things I never want to see again. good thing its only 5 things and the list of things I love about florida is a lot lot longer than 5. They are:
1. Jehovahs witnesses ( I may have lost it a little with a Jdub this week. I will spare you the details.....dont worry I repented)
2. St. Lazaro. ( google that. Everyone has 8 foot statues of him outside their houses)
3. Chihuahuas. (sorry Walter.)
4. Coffee
5. Cigarettes.

Also, I am working hard to learn how to cook some real good latin food for you all.
 AUTHENTIC TORTILLAS!!!!!

This week we learned about prayer in Relief Society. From Ezra Taft Benson we learn:
“All through my life the counsel to depend on prayer has been prized above almost any other advice have received,” said President Ezra Taft Benson. “It has become an integral part of me, an anchor, constant source of strength, and the basis for my knowledge of things divine.
“‘Remember that whatever you do or wherever you are, you are never alone’ was my father’s familiar counsel to me as boy. ‘Our Heavenly Father is always near. You can reach out and receive His aid through prayer.’ have found this counsel to be true. Thank God we can reach out and tap that unseen power, without which no man can do his best
As a missionary my testimony in the power of prayer has really been strengthened. I know that our Father in Heaven is listening! I know that prayer is the greatest source of strength we have!

I love you alll!!!!!!
