No, Im not lucky, Im Blessed

My dear family and friends...

After asking president 3 times for an extension and getting turned down all 3, I figured the 4th time was the charm....So this time he actually put the request into Salt Lake (we talk about it like its a person) and it was approved! The new date is June 11th...

Because distance....and time only makes the heart grow fonder:)

Thanks giving was fun and very latin! The family that had us over has the missionaries over every year. from our ward and the YSA ward. There were so many people there. (see pic attached). Only in Florida can you eat thanksgiving dinner outside. There was latin karaoke which was pretty classic. and lots of Tabasco sauce on the table. Over all our thanksgiving was pretty american: Rice, beans, yucca, maduros, and turkey.

Like I said before its actually been cold here. One night to bed I wore two pairs of pants, two pairs of socks, two long sleeve shirts and had three blankets. Its a struggle.

We are really going all out for Christmas. As you can see from the pictures attached. A member bought  us the tree and ornaments from the dollar store. Oh yeah and how cute is our brown paper bag angle on top? We wrapped up some fake presents to top it all off.

This week while harvesting we found some amazing people. We brought a lot of people to tears. Its kind of a good feeling as missionary to know that they needed you in that moment, and that they felt something. I know that sometimes the Lord send us to people just so that the spirit testify to them that they have a Father in Heaven who loves them and it aware of them, sometimes they aren't prepared to be baptized and that is all they need at this moment.

The church has released the video 'He is the gift.' we have been so excited about it but were sworn to secrecy. They have so many plans to help the true meaning for Christmas stay!
- There will be a New York City time square promotion. The big bill board that wraps around the buildings will show only that beginning today I believe, and it will go all the way through NEW YEARS!
- Starting Dec 7th the only ad that will be shown on the main page will be the ad for the video.
- we have special pass along cards

Of The Christmas Initiative Elder Russell M. Nelson said: "Christmas is a time of reflection on what we can become because of God’s sacred gift. As we discover the gift, we learn of the immeasurable love of God and our absolute need for a Savior. As we embrace the gift, we strengthen our faith in Jesus Christ and our desire to become more like Him. As we share the gift, we follow in the Master’s footsteps, who invited all to hear His message.
May we find greater holiness in our own lives and share the gift with others this Christmas season.
"

Please help move the efforts along! that everyone may know why we celebrate Christmas!

"
After the announced birth of the Christ child to the shepherds on the plains of Judea, “there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:13–14).
This Christmas season, we can fulfill a similar role as the multitude of the heavenly host did more than two millennia ago. I invite each of us to flood the earth with the messages of righteousness and truth found in the He Is the Gift initiative. Visit christmas.mormon.org to find inspiring content to help discover, embrace, and share the gift of God’s love for us, made manifest in His Only Begotten Son. By using the hashtag #ShareTheGift, we can sweep the earth with timeless—and timely—messages of the Savior Jesus Christ." David A. Bednar
The General Authorities are asking the missionaries these questions- and I invite you to Ponder them yourselves:
What can I do this month to come more fully unto Jesus Christ? What can I offer Him? How can I become more like Him?
and always  with a promised blessing: As you seek to be more like Him, your capacity to help others to do likewise will be magnified.
We are all here in these last days to help others come unto Christ.
I wish that I could put into words the love that I have for my savior Jesus Christ, but I cant figure it out. Everything about Him and our Father who sent Him is too grand and magnificent to comprehend. We are blessed.
